The Beach House (2020)

More times than not the worst thing you have to think about during a long weekend getaway to The Beach House is checking yourself for ticks or getting some sandy buttcrack chaffing, but this 2019 horror thriller takes the scares to the next level!  We follow the young couple of Emily (Liana Liberato) and Randall (Noah Le Gros) who go to the beach to try and get through some personal struggles in their relationship, but these college sweethearts soon get more than they bargained for at the beach when they not only meet up with the neighbors, but also see a weird celestial phenomenon of bright fog begin to fall all around their vacation home for the weekend.  When they awaken the next morning after passing out, their nightmare weekend begins to unfold as everyone around them begins to act erratic, and the beach and neighbors start to look like they have been infected with some kind of disease, causing them to go crazy, get sores on their body, and mysterious jellyfish begin to emerge not just from the ocean, but from underneath their skin too!  Forget checking us for ticks when we get back, check us for a man of war growing out of our backs in this Cronenberg-esque gross-out fest!  There is no real nudity to speak of in this one, but the ever sexy Noah Le Gros pops that shirt off on the beach in a couple of scenes and is definitely following in dad (James Le Gros') sexy footsteps.  Definitely check out this creature feature, but maybe do so inland a little bit more!
