A former valedictorian whose adult life is a disaster tries to recreate her high school glory days in the millennial drama The Lifeguard (2013). Overachiever Leigh (Kristen Bell) has an enviable career as a reporter in New York City, but behind her glamorous facade she's hiding a secret: she's utterly miserable. Career-wise, she's unhappy that all of her stories are mindless fluff, while her love life is no better as she's been sleeping with her engaged boss (Joshua Harto). Hitting her breaking point, she quits her job and goes back to her Connecticut hometown, the last place she truly felt happy. First, she moves back into her childhood bedroom. Then, she regains her teenage job as a lifeguard at the local pool. But Leigh's regression isn't truly complete until she strikes up a passionate but dangerous affair with teenage stud Jason (David Lambert). Soon enough she's smoking weed with the teenyboppers, bopping her teen boyfriend all over the place, and doing her best to forget that she's a full-grown adult. But when our blonde Peter Pan she starts to catch feelings for Jason, who planned on moving to Vermont with his friend Matt (Alex Shaffer) after they graduate, she has to decide if she'll try to act like an adult and let him live his life or try to keep him for herself. Speaking of adult stuff, there are some very adult situations in this flick. You’ll be doing hand-to-crotch recitation when you catch a glance of David Lambert sans shirt showing off his slender swimmer’s physique. Coo Coo Cachoo Mrs. Robinson! Kristen is making out with the teen in the bathroom, before letting him take a dip! And in an oddly enticing scene, Joshua Harto goes full frontal while his gal requests some peen across her face. Lucky gal! You'll be rock hard watching The Lifeguard!
