The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)

This epic drama series takes place in the Second Age of Middle Earth, thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings and follows the journey of Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) from Elven warrior to elder stateswoman, all while covering the Second Age’s major events: the forging of the Rings, the rise of Sauron, the fall of Númenor, and the last alliance between Elves and Men. Other familiar characters are present, such as Elf leader Elrond (Robert Aramayo) and the future king Isildur (Maxim Baldry), who eventually takes the One Ring from Sauron but refuses to destroy it. There are a bevy of new characters as well, some who are a new type of Hobbit known as Harfoots. But while the Peter Jackson films weren’t known for their nudity, the series gives us skin right outta the gate, with some fiery scenes showcasing a loincloth-clad character called The Stranger (played by Daniel Weyman in his nude debut). This hotly anticipated show is already sizzling!
