Biography

When it comes to skinematic siblings, the Bottoms brothers are the tops! There’s Joseph, Ben, the late Sam, and our favorite Timothy Bottoms. Known for his puppy dog eyes and passive irreverence, Tim made his movie debut in the anti-war film Johnny Got His Gun (1971). He then romanced Maggie Smith onscreen in Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing (1973) and flashed his flesh while in bed with Lindsay Wagner in the lauded dramedy The Paper Chase (1973). Next came The Crazy World of Julius Vrooder (1974) produced by Hugh Hefner. But by the end of the decade, Bottoms began making critical misses including the disaster movie Rollercoaster (1977) and the melodrama The Other Side of the Mountain Part 2 (1978). The Canadian adventure The High Country (1981) and the sci-fi flick Invaders from Mars (1986) followed in the 1980s. By the 1990s, Timothy popped up in The Man in the Iron Mask (1998) headed by dueling Leonardo DiCaprios. The new millennium brought Tim opportunities to portray President George W. Bush in That’s My Bush! (2001), The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (2002), and DC 9/11: Time of Crisis (2003). Still, Timothy will always be remembered for his revealing role in The Last Picture Show (1971). The coming-of-age classic will have you coming when you see the topless talent’s bulging briefs as he brings Cloris Leachman to climax —and an Academy Award! If that’s not arousing enough, Bottoms goes bottomless in Welcome to the Men’s Group (2016). Thanks for the invite!
