If you’re looking for a satirical chiller diller that cuts to the bone, then check out Velvet Buzzsaw (2019), not to be confused with Velvet Goldmine (1998) starring Ewan McGregor and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. Under the pen and direction of Dan Gilroy, this horror fantasy centers around art critic Morf Vandewalt (Jake Gyllenhaal) whose love of the visual medium gets out of control when art pieces take on a life of their own. It all starts when Morf’s female lover Josephina (Zawe Ashton) discovers a dead man (Alan Mandell) and a bunch of paintings in her place. Suffice it to say, this R rated flick features a lot of fine art and finer dudes on screen. The movie’s male eye candy comes in the form of brunette babe Tom Sturridge, topless hottie Billy Magnussen, and Sedale Threatt Jr. who struts his stuff in the buff! As Morf’s male lover Ed, the latter actor shows off his sculpted back and abs by the pool. If that’s not titillating enough, the ebony stud also flashes his sack and shaft just 13 minutes into this pic. While Rhodora Haze (Rene Russo) exhibits her artwork on the walls of her gallery to the delight of Gretchen (Toni Collette), curator Piers (John Malkovich), and shirtless artist Damrish (Daveed Diggs), we can’t but wonder if Mr. Gyllenhaal is equally well hung. Alas, the gorgeous guy keeps his junk hidden. However, he does display his naked T&A. As you can guess, that’s what Mr. Man calls a masterpiece of ass!
