2 Days in Paris (2007)

Before there was 2 Days in New York (2012), foreign film fans flocked to 2 Days In Paris (2007) written and directed by leading lady Julie Delpy, who also edited and scored the movie. The R-rated rom-com centers around French photographer Marion (Delpy) and American interior designer Jack (Adam Goldberg). After what was supposed to be a romantic trip to Venice, the engagingly neurotic pair stops in Paris to visit Marion’s parents. Unfortunately for Jack, Maman Anna (Marie Pillet) and Papa Jeannot (Albert Delpy) have no real love for Americans. What follows is a lot of discussions on politics and food. Thankfully, the plot also includes some sexual antics. For example, Marion is hit on by numerous ex-lovers such as Lukas (Daniel Brühl) and Mathieu (Adán Jodorowsky). In fact, her sexual past is a constant surprise to Jack. If that’s not frustrating enough, he must endure Anna’s constant skintrusions whenever he and Marion try to enjoy a romantic interlude. The film also features Alex Nahon, Alexia Landeau, Vanessa Seward, and Mr. Goldberg’s nudity! Just 26 minutes into the flick, there’s a pic of balloons tied to his dick! Later, Adam doffs his duds to briefly reveal his tattooed chest, brunette pubes, balls and peen. It’s a flashback scene but due to the skin on display, we consider it a fleshback! No wonder, the romp won the European Film Awards Audience Award for Best Film and the Prix Jacques Prévert du Scénario for Best Original Screenplay. Plus, our pérverted prix for Goldberg’s skin!
