For those who don't remember the name, Carolyn Warmus (Virginia Madsen) was a former school teacher who was the real life version of Fatal Attraction (1987).  What Carolyn did was fall in love with a married man who she was having an affair with and then decided the best course of action when he wanted to break things off with her was to murder his wife.  You see, Carolyn was a young and pretty teacher, but was secretly worth a fortune because her dad was a big somebody in the insurance game in Michigan, so she was secretly a spoiled rich girl who got whatever she wanted behind closed doors, so the one thing she wanted was a fellow teacher, the attractive 5th grade teacher, who happened to be married.  Daddy couldn't buy the 5th grade teacher for her, so she loaded up a handgun, went over to his house and shot his wife 11 times...  This became the trial of the 80s for a brief moment there and Carolyn was convicted of 2nd degree murder in 1992 and was sentenced to 25 years to life, shockingly enough, she was released in 2019...  So maybe avoid her if she starts flirting with you at the schoolyard...  Obviously, it's the kind of story that a made for TV movie was designed for and this one has a powerhouse case of a young Virginia Madsen playing the titular tormented and jilted lover.  Then we also have Chris Sarandon at his most tall, dark, and handsome playing the lover Paul Solomon, who definitely inspires 2nd degree murder feelings if you can't take him home with you, with how scalding hot he is in his sexy prime, post Humperdinck, of course!
