A girl’s 18th birthday is supposed to be a joyous and memorable occasion but that’s not the case in the chiller diller Birth Rite (2003), not to be confused with the thriller Birth (2004) starring Nicole Kidman, Danny Huston and Michael Desautels. Under the pen and direction of Devin Hamilton, this spooky movie centers around Rebecca (Natalie Sutherland), a soon-to-be-witch who crosses paths with a warlock named Roman (Danny Wolske). As Rebecca turns 18, he magically shows her that her parents were murdered. Happy Birthday! At least, the occultist came bearing a gift — a Sacred Amulet that gives Rebecca the ability to practice the black arts. As Roman tempts her with a life of evil, Rebecca’s adopted sister Erin (Laura Nativo) fights to save her sister’s soul. As you can guess, this leads to the ultimate battle of good versus evil. Fortunately, this indie flick will bewitch viewers with dudity. Mr. Wolske’s fantastic physique fills in the gaps of the plot, especially when he reveals his post-sex back and butt. Nothing scary about that! Not to be outdone, Alex Proctor (Kyle Lupo) touts his naked T&A when changing clothes. Suffice it to say, the nude booty count in this B movie bomb can raise the dead — among other things! To that end, Paul Guilford (Ronnie Gene Blevins) doffs his duds before getting done in. On the upside, he flashes his abs and ass. Although this pic has a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the flesh featured feels fresh to us!
