Blood & Water (2020) is a South African series about a girl named Puleng (Ama Qamata) who is really sick of hearing about how seventeen years ago her sister was kidnapped out of the hospital. Her annoying parents (Gail Mabalane and Getmore Sithole) even throw the girl who disappeared a birthday party every year. Weirded out by the whole thing, Puleng ditches the fiesta for an even wilder birthday, held by a rich kid named Chris (Arno Greef) in honor of his friend Fikile (Khosi Ngema). But when Puleng arrives at the drug and sex filled b-day bash, she realizes that Fikile loos a whole lot like her. Obsessed with the idea that Fikile is her long-lost sister, Puleng enrolls in the same school as her, only to see her dad arrested on human trafficking claims. What's going on? Puleng finds out more and struggles with these truths while juggling the fierce world of high school. Good thing she also runs into several sexy South African boys.
