Those funny dudes at CollegeHumor make their debut exploration into the world of film with the workplace comedy Coffee Town (2013). Thirty-something website manager Will (Glenn Howerton) uses the titular café as his own personal office. Yeah, he’s one of those guys. Because of space-wasters like Will, combined with the plethora of coffee competitors, it’s hard to stay afloat in the latte business, so the owners of C-Town start discussing plans to convert the café into a bar. Panicking over potentially losing his beloved work space, Will enlists the help of his best buds Gino and Chad (Ben Schwartz and Steve Little) to save the coffee shop. The geniuses device a scheme to stage a robbery in attempts of convincing the owners that the safer-than-milk neighborhood isn’t a suitable location for an alcohol-imbibing establishment. In between all the save-the-café drama, there’s a budding relationship brewing between Will and his unrequited lover Becca (Adrianne Palicki). Besides Becca not really noticing him, Will’s path to love is made more difficult by Sam (Josh Groban), a disgruntled barista that has his eye set on Becca. There’s plenty of awkward humor in the flick, but very little skin. Trevor J. Davis manages to reveal his rump as he jumps in bed to take a nap. In terms of nudity, Coffee Town is decaffeinated.
