David Allen Brooks was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, but his career to Hollywood actually started in Arizona. After college, David moved to Arizona to be a teacher on a Navajo Indian Reservation. After that he continued to teach in public and private schools. His teaching career took him to New York where he began taking acting classes in his free time and soon had started landing acting jobs. For a while he left teaching behind and focused on acting on stage and screen. After more than 30 movies and TV shows, he continues to work regularly but now also teaches film making and acting at the New York Film Academy.
