Judging by his quick wit and bespeckled eyes, it should come as no surprise that funny man David McSavage became a stand-up comedian, comedy writer, street performer, improviser, director, and actor. In other words, the 6’2” overachiever can do a lot of things — which may explain why Mr. Man would love to do him too! Born David Andrews in Dublin, the Irish eyeful worked as a busker in Tokyo, and later Amsterdam, for several years before making a name for himself in television. In addition to placing at the Kilkenny Comedy Festival, David has lent his amusing views to Comedy Lab (2008) and The Savage Eye (2009-2014). In 2019, the boob tuber popped up alongside Kyle Chandler in the miniseries Catch-22 (2019) and in the four-part drama The Virtues, which earned seven BAFTA awards. David could also be seen in movies, such as the mystery I.T. (2016) starring Pierce Brosnan and Anna Friel. After playing a bishop in the drama Calvary (2014) with Brendan Gleeson, the busy babe portrayed real-life publisher William Hall to Dan Stevens’s Charles Dickens in the holiday dramedy The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017). Since then, Dave was cast as William Joyce in the R-rated flick The Forgiven (2021) starring Jessica Chastain and Ralph Fiennes. Of course, we prefer Dave’s revealing role in Traders (2015) by Rachael Moriarty and Peter Murphy. The thriller features Killian Scott, Nika McGuigan, John Bradley, and McSavage’s McBulging briefs! The Irish climate is very cool, but David’s big bod is white hot!
