Dead Reckoning (2020)

Dead Reckoning (2020) is a thriller that is very loosely based on the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. While that event was undoubtedly tragic, this story focuses on the idea of how one of the attack's young conspirators may have been influenced by his family to plan and act out what wound up being an act of terror. That being said, this movie starts in a sleepy Nantucket town during the summer. In this tourist coastal town during the summer, two young people are having a lovely fling that sizzles along with the summer sun. Niko, played by the incredibly hunky Riverdale legend K.J. Apa, is our leading man. He falls for the lovely recent graduate named Tillie who play is played by India Eisley. As their feelings intensify and their relationship blossoms, Niko's brother arrives in the United States. His brother is a terrorist which becomes a problem. He is here to plan a terrorist attack and he wants to convince Niko to help him. Now Niko is faced with a really tough choice: should he stick by his family and help his terrorist brother or should he stick his neck out to protect the woman that he has just fallen in love with? Hmmmm. Tough choice. It would definitely be easier to make a choice if we could see K.J. Apa naked. He doesn't go nude, but he does go shirtless when he's on a boat to let us see his chiseled abs and totally fit biceps. Shirtless Apa puts the motion in our ocean.
