Biography

Frederick Combs enjoyed a brief career as an actor on the boob tube and big screen, but will always be remembered for originating a very memorable role in a play that grows more and more relevant by the day. Originally from Virginia, the slender and handsome fellow spent most of the sixties on the Broadway and off Broadway stages before earning guest spots on the shows The Defenders and The Wild Wild West. In his silver screen debut, Frederick reprised his stage role as Donald, a gay man undergoing psychoanalysis as he tries to reject his sexuality in the homosexual drama The Boys in the Band (1970). A wildly ahead of its time drama that premiered off Broadway in 1968, the film received critical appraise from film goers and critics alike for its sympathetic portrayal of gay relationships. Netflix remade the movie in 2020 with Matt Bomer taking on his role to rave reviews, but the original received a thumbs up from Mr. Man for allowing us a look at Frederick’s tan lines when he stripped down and bared his butt while jumping into the shower. That’s a great ass! The boys in the band will have you playing your instrument with your hand! While Frederick spent most of his energy on the theater circuit, he made some appearances in the boob tube flicks The Users (1978), The Silent Lovers (1980), and Another Woman’s Child (1983). Unfortunately, after making his last screen appearance in the incredibly disturbing based on a true story child abuse drama David  (1985), in 1992 Frederick’s life was cut way too short due to complications from Aids. We miss him greatly, but we always try to honor his memory by combing through the skin archives and enjoying some slow-mo looks at his plump rump!
