The inspiration for Yara Sofia's name comes from a girl he used to dance with that had gorgeous legs. Well then! Yara Sofia captured America's heart when she competed in season 3 of RuPaul's Drag Race - one of the wildest seasons of the show! Yara did not win the crown, but did win Miss Congeniality and proved to be a fan favorite throughout. She competed again in the first season of All Stars in 2012. Yara is also very crafty. He works as a professional makeup artist when not performing drag and has even made some dresses for other drag queens. They bring these confident skills and their wild weirdness with them to RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (2021) where Yara Sofia competes with thirteen queens for the All Stars season six crown. Yara actually wins the very first challenge, but the following week winds up in the bottom. Yara's bottom look nearly showed Gabriel's bottom, actually!
