Florida-born actor Gene Davis — not to be confused with Utah State Senator Gene Davis, Color Field painter Gene Davis, or Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis — is a relative star. That is, his brother was Brad Davis (who won a Golden Globe for his lead performance in 1978’s Midnight Express) and his nephew is Alex Blue Davis (who starred on Grey’s Anatomy). Gene proceeded to expand the family empire of entertainers when he married casting agent Penny Perry. Together, they have two daughters including actress/casting director Brooke Davis. But long before his offspring was guest-starring on Orange Is the New Black (2018), Gene could be seen on Kojak (1978) and The Rockford Files (1978-1979). By 1980, the skinematic hunk appeared in Roger Vadim’s erotic drama Night Games and William Friedkin’s crime flick Cruising with Al Pacino. Through the years, the handsome hottie acted alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in the action movies Black Eagle (1988) and Universal Soldier (1992). But we’re more impressed with his reveling role in 10 to Midnight (1983). The R-rated thriller features Charles Bronson, Andrew Stevens, Kelly Preston, and Gene’s bulging briefs. As a naked serial killer, the skintastic stud shows off his killer bod! Since Gene’s character doesn’t want to leave any evidence on his clothing, he murders his victims in the buff.
