Göran Stangertz overcame many challenges in his life. Early in his life he battled a severe drinking problem which he was able to finally kick in 1992. He is the father of 7 children and spent many years helping develop the Swedish theater scene. He twice won Sweden’s highest acting honor the Guldbaggen and has appeared in more than 30 movies and tv shows. Mr. Stangertz died in 2012 at the age of 68 from lung cancer.
