Home Again (2017)

Ever since Judy Garland said “There’s no place like home” in the cinematic classic The Wizard of Oz (1939), the entertainment industry has used the phrase as a launching pad for House Party (1989), Home Alone (1990), Homegrown (1998), Daddy’s Home (2015), Homesick (2015), and Sweet Home Alabama (2002) starring Reese Witherspoon — who also heads up Home Again (2017). The latter movie comes from Hallie Meyers-Shyer, daughter of famed filmmaker Nancy Meyers. Alas, Hallie’s flick lacks the successful touch of her mom’s rom-coms such as Something’s Gotta Give (2003) which serves up Jack Nicholson’s buns and The Holiday (2006) which includes views of Jude Law’s perfect pecs. That’s not to say Home Again doesn’t offer a little skin. As Harry, Pico Alexander shows off his (un)hairy chest in bed and on the beach. All it takes is one peek at Pico in his trunks to know he’s a young hunk! The film’s plot follows a single mom (Witherspoon) whose life is turned upside down when she lets three men move in with her. As you can guess, sexual tension mounts thanks to Austen (Michael Sheen), George (Jon Rudnitsky), Justin (Reid Scott), and Warren (Josh Stamberg). The movie also includes Candice Bergen, Lake Bell, Lola Flanery, and Nat Wolff in his underwear! Even though his lean physique may tempt and tease the members on audience members, Mr. Man would rather see the budding actor sans skivvies. Nevertheless, when the film’s topless hotties swim in the ocean, they make a splash on screen!
