With his big brown eyes and built body, Neighbours (2002-2005) star Jay Ryan looks like the boy next door — if you lived in New Zealand! The down under stunner has been steaming up the camera lens ever since he popped up alongside Ryan Gosling on Young Hercules (1998) and Lucy Lawless on Xena: Warrior Princess (1999). By the millennium, he became a series regular on the TV3 drama Being Eve (2002). Of course, we’d rather be with Adam than Eve, if Adam was played by Ryan. With the drama Sea Patrol (2007-2009), our hands were patrolling below our belts since Jay portrayed a sexy seaman! Next came the dramedy Go Girls (2009-2012) featuring Anna Hutchison, Alix Bushnell, Bronwyn Ture, Matt Whelan, and Jay’s naked T&A. You Go Guy! At the risk of repeating himself, Ryan revealed his rack and rump on the small screen shows Offspring (2011) and Creamerie (2021). The skintastic actor also flashed his abs on the Canadian crime saga Mary Kills People (2017-2018). The same can be said of Ryan’s romantic role on The CW show Beauty and the Beast (2012-2016). In between, the boob tube babe played Mark Mitcham in the mystery Top of the Lake (2013) created, co-written and directed by Jane Campion. Even though Jay didn’t doff his duds during the miniseries, he (and his cast mates) did win an Equity Ensemble Award for Outstanding Performance. But if Mr. Ryan wants his own prize, Mr. Man has a statuette in his trousers just for him!
