Hailing from a horse ranch in the nowhere, nohow, nobody town of Indianola, Iowa, Joel Adam West (Holy Hunkasaurus, Batman!) took up the noble profession of modeling before Hollywood came a-balling, we mean “a-calling.” He may not have been sucking on a chilli dog outside the Tastee Freeze, but Joel was discovered by the roving eye of a photographer at a local Dairy Queen. And whatever he was having, you can bet it was NOT soft-serve! Soon after his big break, Joel was signed to Boss Models, the modeling agency that represented Marcus Schenkenberg, widely considered to be the first male supermodel. Seeing the greatness in Joel (and probably wishing his greatness was in them), the bosses at Boss dubbed their new protege "Baby Marcus," after their most famous client, and set his abs to work in the service of top names like Calvin Klein, Versace, and Hugo Boss. His first acting job came in 1991, when he appeared in the low-budget indie flick Crack Me Up. His next came nine years later, when he joined Oliver Hudson, Nicholas M. Loeb, and Ryan Browning in the 2000 teen drama The Smokers. Oh you’re smoking, Joel… smoking hot, that is!
