The Smokers (1999)

Alternately titled Forbid to Break, the high-school-themed black comedy The Smokers (2000) chronicles the misadventures of a trio of femmes fatale at a swanky private school. Jefferson (Dominique Swain), Karen (Busy Phillips), and Lisa (Keri Lynn Pratt) roam the halls of Lindenhurst Academy like they run the joint, confusing malicious hijinks for feminist principles. Inspired by the younger but exponentially more nihilistic Lincoln (Thora Birch), the bad girls decide to commit aggravated assault against boys who get pushy on dates. You’ve got to feel a little sorry for the fellas––despite the threat of death, they can’t figure out how to ignore the girls’ devilish charms. You won’t be able to ignore Joel West, who plays farmboy/musician Christopher, when he gets out of bed, totally naked, and uses only a cowboy hat to cover his country junk. Pretty smokin’.
