A Time to Kill (1996)

Thanks to the awesome abs on Matthew McConaughey, Mr. Man will always make time to kill some sperm while watching A Time to Kill (1996). The action kicks in when Carl Lee Hailey (Samuel L. Jackson) takes the law into his own hands, gunning down the thugs (Nicky Katt and Doug Hutchison) who attacked his daughter (Rae’Ven Larrymore Kelly) and left her for dead. As such, attorneys Jake Brigance (McConaughey) and Ellen Roark (Sandra Bullock) come to his defense. The two seek out a drunken but brilliant law professor (Donald Sutherland) for help. Together, their trail points to racial tensions in the small town of Canton, Mississippi, led by KKK member Freddie Lee Cobb (Kiefer Sutherland) who threatens the lives of both lawyers and their families. Under the direction of Joel Schumacher, this all-star crime drama includes future and past Oscar winners Brenda Fricker, Chris Cooper, Octavia Spencer, and Kevin Spacey as well as Ashley Judd, Oliver Platt, and Patrick McGoohan. Meanwhile, you may be McGooin’ in your pants when you get to glance at Mr. McConaughey’s naked chest as Ms. Bullock bandages him up. Talk about adding thrills to this thriller! Perhaps Matt’s impressive pecs helped him win the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Not to be outdone, Mr. Jackson picked up an NAACP Image Award for Best Supporting Actor despite the fact that the movie was nominated for Worst Written Film Grossing Over $100 Million at the Golden Raspberry Awards. Nevertheless, Matthew’s flesh may give you a banana!
