With a teacher mother and a school administrator father, it’s surprising that John Sayles chose a path that took him to the silver screen. One would figure that he’d pursue a job in education. Though he’s been in a number of films, John is mostly known for being a director and a writer, penning the scripts to hit flicks like The Howling (1981), The Challenge (1982), and Wild Thing (1987).
