While we may not be familiar with his work here in the States, Australian film lovers know beloved character actor Ken Shorter best for playing the title role in the Ozploitation classic Stone (1974)! That wasn't exactly Ken's first rodeo, however, as he'd been acting since the mid-60s, getting his start in television before making the jump to feature films at the end of the decade. Ken kicked off the 70s by appearing alongside Mick Jagger in Tony Richardson's film Ned Kelly (1970), before finally making it to leading man status with the aforementioned Stone, where he made his nude debut, flashing his ass while stripping out of his clothes to go skinny dipping. In addition to his work on screen, Ken even made his way into the cast of the original production of Martin Sherman's landmark play Bent at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1979 opposite Ian McKellen and Tom Bell. There's no doubt that Ken Shorter will make your longer!
