Killer Piñata (2017)

It was only a matter of time, if you really think about it...  The brutality that has been inflicted on their people for what must be hundreds of years now was only going to come back ten fold.  You simply cannot keep an oppressed and regularly assaulted group strung up and beaten with broomsticks without them wanting vengeance!  THE PIÑATAS HAVE RUN OUT OF CHEEKS TO TURN!  That is exactly where this ultra low-budget horror comedy is coming from and we can 100% empathize for the anti-hero(?) titular piñata when he finally snaps and becomes Killer Piñata.  In this indie flick, filmed entirely in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago on a shoestring budget of less than $5,000, we follow a group of friends who are gathering for a simple birthday party for their friend.  Little do they know, the adorable piñata that they purchased from the party store around the corner is actually possessed with an evil spirit and is (instead of candy) filled with the highest levels of malice towards the human race and the violence we have inflicted on his kind!  So as these friends try to bash the sweet candy out of him, they are instead picked off one by one by this agent of evil with an unquenchable thirst for the blood of birthday party-goers!  Along the way though, this cute yet dangerous multi-colored monster breaks into a couple having sex in bed and exacts a bit of his revenge on Nate Bryan by pooping deadly candy into his mouth, mid-sex. then turning him into his murderous zombie!
