Louis Lay is a Canada-based actor born in Singapore to a Chinese mother and French father. After traveling the world, his family finally settled in Canada, where Louis became fluent in Mandarin, French, and English. Before turning to acting, Lay was a competitive swimmer, ranking among Canada's top 10 in his age group, and remains an avid scuba diver in his free time. Oh, we clocked the swimmer’s bod, alright! On screen, Lay has built an impressive career in North American television and film. He has appeared in DC's Legends of Tomorrow on The CW and Motherland: Fort Salem on Freeform, as well as in Netflix's Snowpiercer. He has also worked on television movies for the OWN network, including Christmas of Yes, and appeared in the Hallmark Channel film A Little Park Music. Lay's most recent role comes in the 2025 Finnish-set horror thriller Love Is the Monster, directed by Alex Noyer.
