Even though his surname implies that he should be writing poetry, along with the fact that he is a few generations removed from the famed poet Alfred, Lord, Matthew Tennyson is too busy working on becoming a prominent actor of both small and silver screens to pick up a pen and dabble in poetics. But it was the slender Brit’s 2011 stage performance in the homosexually themed play Beautiful Thing that showed Matthew is pure poetry in motion.
