Naz & Maalik (2015) is a story about the challenging confluence of race, religion, and sexuality for two gay youths living in Brooklyn, NY. Bedford-Stuy residents Maalik (Curtiss Cook Jr.) and Naz (Kerwin Johnson Jr.) are two young men in a secret love affair that they must hide from their Muslim community. They also have a lottery ticket scheme they run, but it's pretty small-time stuff. Unbeknownst to them, their sexy snooping catches the eye of FBI Agent Sarah Mickell (Annie Grier), who is on the lookout for terrorist activity and thinks there's something shady with how secretive the pair are, and how they constantly slip into dark alleys to make sure they're alone. Due to the color of their skin and their religious affiliation, Naz and Maalik soon find themselves as targets for the misguided feds. When the fellas figure it out, they're forced to decide whether they should come clean and risk their families figuring out why they spend so much time together or roll the dice and hope the government doesn't get the wrong idea and try to lock them up. Quite a conundrum for a hot piece of bum! The multifaceted and harrowing story attracted positive buzz in the festival circuit and gets us buzzing with its hot gay scenes! At the 26-minute mark, Curtiss and Kerwin let their emotions get the best of them and have a passionate but fully clothed make out session on the sidewalk. How'd the FBI like that bit of buns grabbing from the FWBs? Later, at the 1 hour, 6-minute mark we see the two lovers go at it again, this time in bed without their shirts on! You’ll be having a secret love affair with yourself! Naz & Maalik will have you wanting more than a peek!
