One Night in Miami... (2021)

Oscar-winning actress Regina King makes her directorial debut with the acclaimed film One Night in Miami (2021)! Based on the play of the same name by Kemp Powers, the film is a fictionalized account of a real meeting in the title city in February, 1964 between activist Malcolm X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), boxer Muhammad Ali (Eli Goree), singer Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom, Jr.), and football player Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge). Ali, then going by his birth name Cassius Clay, has just shocked the world by defeating Sonny Liston (Aaron D. Alexander) to become the heavyweight champion in Miami Beach! However, Jim Crow laws kept Clay from celebrating within the city limits, so in Miami's predominantly black Overtown neighborhood, the boxer rents out an entire motel to celebrate with his assembled friends, Malcolm, Cooke, and Brown among them. Over the course of the night, the four men discuss their role in creating change in society and ensuring that they saw equality for African-Americans in their lifetime. Sadly both Malcolm X and Sam Cooke would be dead within a year of this meeting, but the film lingers in this glorious moment when all four men were alive and together in one place! While there's no nudity to be found in this fascinating film, there's plenty of hot shirtless action for you boxing fans out there! Eli Goree shows off his fantastically fit physique in two boxing matches, one the aforementioned bout with the ripped Aaron D. Alexander, and the other with Sean Monaghan, playing Clay's 1963 opponent Henry "The Hammer" Cooper in a flashback! We'd like to spend more than just One Night in Miami with these hunks!
