Sound of Metal (2020)

The supremely sexy Riz Ahmed takes on the role he was born to slay with the harrowing drama Sound of Metal. This 2020 independent movie is about a rock and roll drummer who tragically loses his ability to hear. As you can imagine, his deafness wreaks havoc on his identity as a musician, and throughout Sound of Metal, we're taken on a ride through his anguish. Riz's character resorts to non-recommended coping mechanisms, and his mind goes to some pretty damn dark places. But while Sound of Metal might be hard to watch, Riz is certainly easy on the eyes. Riz has been slowly building up his shirtless résumé here on Mr. Man, but sadly as of the release of Sound of Metal, he still has yet to go nude on screen. Sounds rotten to us! Riz has toned pecs and arms and an adorable face complete with deep brown puppy dog eyes. And in Sound of Metal, director Darius Marder really showcases Riz's range as an actor. Yes, we here at Mr. Man exist to chow down nude men with our eyeballs, but sometimes we just have to give it up for a man's talent. And Riz has talent to spare! If you saw Nightcrawler, then you know how convincing he was as Jake Gyllenhaal's reluctant partner in crime. But in Sound of Metal Riz outdoes even his most acclaimed performances, and it certainly has us excited for what's around the corner. As long as what's around the corner includes his dick debut. Sorry not sorry!
