Purple Hearts (2022)

It’s a tale as old as time, your classic boy-meets-girl, boy-and-girl-dislike-each-other, boy-and-girl-stage-sham-marriage-to-defraud-the-goverment-and-eventually-fall-in-love story. Cassie Salazar (Sofia Carson) is an aspiring singer/songwriter with diabetes who’s drowning in medical debt. Luke Morrow (Nicholas Galitzine) is a third generation Marine about to be deployed and finally (hopefully) earn his dad’s respect. He also owes a lot of money to some unsavory characters, so when he meets Cassie at the bar where she works, the two hatch a plan to marry for money and medical benefits despite hating each other’s guts. After Luke ships out, Cassie finds the inspiration she needs to write her first hit but when Luke returns home after being severely wounded in the line of duty, these two polar opposites learn how to live - and how to love - together. Things get steamy between the two when Cassie helps the injured Luke undress and gives him a sensuous sponge bath. Seeing the beefy yet vunerable Nicholas in just a pair of tight underwear definitely has us standing at attention!
