Born in New York City and raised in Los Angeles, Raymond originally studied kinesiology at California State University at Long Beach, but eventually switched to acting. Early in his career, he starred as Steve in the web series Ktown Cowboys, pulling from his South Korean heritage for the role in 2010. He guest-starred on How I Met Your Mother, Ben and Kate, Hart of Dixie, Trophy Wife, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia before landing a recurring role as Hun in Best Couple Ever in 2013. He also played recurring roles Nelson Parker in Scandalfrom 2016-2017, Arien in Mozart in the Jungle from 2016-2018, and Jin in Prodigal Son in 2019. Surprisingly, he also has a strong record with the kiddos, popping up on such fare as Sam & Cat, Jessie, and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn on Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel. On the big screen, you’ll find him larger than life in The Lost City (2022) with Channing Tatum, and Top Gun: Maverick (2022) with Tom Cruise. And, get this, in 2022, he was cast in the pilot of the Quantum Leap TV series re-boot, playing lead leaping character Dr. Ben Seong. F**k, that’s hot.
