Tall, rugged, and bearded, Rio Hackford harkens us back to an older age, before The Brawny Man shaved his beard. Hackford looks like he could beat up The Brawny Man, and then go take on The Jolly Green Giant. Duran Duran sang of a Rio that dances in the sand, and who wouldn’t want a roll in the sand with this sexy sandman. In his spare time, Hackford owns and operates an under-the-radar dive bar in downtown LA. We wouldn’t mind diving into that bar after dark, hopefully Rio does body shots with his many fans! Though he had a memorable role in his longtime buddies’ (Vince Vaughn and John Favreau) movie Swingers (1996), we wouldn’t see Hackford really swinging until his role in Sherrybaby (2006). Getting down and dirty in a dingy downstairs basement, we see Rio’s righteous rear under fluorescent lights as he works a woman over a work bench. He’s rocking a blue t-shirt and no pants like and old and sexy Tommy Pickles. His khakis are around his ankles, but our eyes were much further North. Rio’s father, Taylor Hackford had been good friend’s with Charles Bukowski, and any fan can tell that Rio was raised with a rough-and-tumble sort of attitude, which is exactly why he has so many fans dreaming of a rough tumble with him.
