Sherrybaby (2006)

Sherry Swanson (Maggie Gyllenhaal) is a former junkie recently released from prison in Sherrybaby (2006). Slightly emotionally stunted from her time in the clinker, Sherry must acclimate to the real world while suppressing her desire to do drugs. Adding to her newfound pressures is the difficulty she faces in getting her child back from her family, who question her ability to stay clean and adequately care for a kid. If Sherrybaby sounds heartbreaking to you, it’s because it is. Luckily Rio Hackford and his humps make a grand appearance to lighten the mood!
