Ruffin Prentiss decided getting a good education would be the key to succeeding as an actor. After high school, he attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received a BA in Theater Arts then he went on to get his MFA in Acting at Rutgers. After appearing in a few short films, he started landing small parts on various TV shows before getting his big break when he got a recurring part on the TV show Power.
