Servants (2020)

Servants (2020) is a dramatic Slovakian film that takes place in 1980 during the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. It was a difficult time to live in that country in which the government demanded loyalty from its citizens at all times. Two clergymen in the church, church servants named Michal and Juraj, find their seminary under pressure from the government to incorporate more of the regime's teachings into church in order to mold the seminary students into model citizens for the communist party. To make matters worse the head priest of the seminary school is being targeted with blackmail and the school itself might be completely dissolved. Michal and Juraj have to decide what they will do next. Should they stand up for the school and continue to work with the seminary? Or should they work with the government and become government informants? Or should they risk becoming targets of the government's secret police themselves? This black-and-white film shines a harsh and interesting light on this dramatic and often terrifying time to be alive. It helps that there is a hot guy in the movie! Juraj is played by Samuel Skyva who is super duper sexy when he strips totally naked to show off his body for a panel of men sitting behind a table to inspect him. He puts his hands over his crotch, so we can't see the goods. That being said, his ass is very good to watch. Savor that seat meat in Servants and live to serve Samuel Skyva!
