State of Affairs (2014-2015)

Further clogging the boob tube with yet another espionage show, the NBC thriller series State of Affairs stars Katherine Heigl as CIA analyst Charleston Tucker, who develops the daily briefing for President Constance Payton (Alfre Woodard), warning him about possible threats against the United States and its allies. It’s a powerful position that is made less stressful for Charleston, thanks to the help of her trusted group of analysts. Ho-hum. Did we mention that Charleston is still grieving over the death of her fiancé, Aaron Payton (Mark Tallmen), the son of the President, who was gunned down right in front of her? Oh, brother. Is this what’s happening to television? Well, if it’s any consolation, we get a look at Chris McKenna minus his shirt on season one, episode twelve. That’s it! What a sad state of affairs.
