Being Mary Jane (2013-2017)

The BET series Being Mary Jane stars Gabrielle Union as the titular character, a successful television news anchor working at a station experiencing cutbacks. Off camera, Mary Jane is an energetic gal who serves as the financial and emotional center of a family full of unemployed mooches. While she’s successful in her career, MJ has trouble in her love life; she’s romantically torn between likeable playboy, David (Stephen Bishop), and Andre (Omari Hardwick), the cheater that hid his marriage from the TV personality.
