The Last Czars (2019)

Russia’s Romanov Dynasty is the focus of The Last Czars (2019), not to be confused with The Last Station (2009) about Russian author Leo Tolstoy. Like the period piece Nicholas and Alexandra (1971), this historical miniseries centers around Nicholas II (Robert Jack) and Alexandra Feodorovna (Susanna Herbert) whose ancestors ruled Russia from 1613 to 1917. But social unrest eventually led to a citizen upheaval that forever changed the political landscape. As a result, Nicholas and Alexandra as well as their children were executed in 1918 during the Russian Revolution. Thanks to this six part series, the family’s final years are documented with an ensemble cast, lavish sets, and even some dudity! As the Romanovs try to hold onto power, you’ll be holding onto yourself when you see the Czar try to impregnate the Czarina in episode 2. As such, the skintastic act showcases Mr. Jack’s fine ass. Talk about making history come alive! If that’s not titillating enough, the handsome hunk later goes topless again in episode 4. This small screen saga also includes Oliver Dimsdale as Swiss scholar Pierre Gilliard; Gerard Miller as Prince Yusupov; Duncan Pow as Communist revolutionary Yurovsky; Indre Patkauskaite as imposter Ana Anderson; and Ben Cartwright as famed mystic Grigori Rasputin. The latter actor flashes his abs, back and gams while getting thrashed with branches in episode 3. Even though the action is intense, we appreciate seeing Ben’s chest. As you can guess, Mr. Man hopes Mr. Cartwright won’t be Ras-puttin’ his shirt back on anytime soon!
