The Golden Globe nominees have been announced, but there are a lot of surprises. Those surprises include some major snubs. Some of these might shock you! Check out these 2024 Golden Globe snubs.
Passages
The art-house film Passages has been widely praised by critics around the world. Considering other foreign films like Anatomy of a Fall, The Zone of Interest, and Fallen Leaves were given a few nominations, it is shocking that this sexy French film was disregarded. Is it because it's so damned hot?
The erotic film directed by Ira Sachs is a powerfully erotic romance starring Ben Whishaw and Franz Rogowski. A gay couple is torn apart when one of them cheats with a woman. The heartbroken man tries to get over his heartbreak by getting under some sexy guys, like Erwan Kepoa Fale. The two of them have their own relations at the end of the movie.
Passages is filled with nudity and gay romance. Neither Passages nor All of Us Strangers were nominated. Not only that, but Todd Haynes was (once again) snubbed for Best Director. Is this a little homophobia I'm detecting here? Hmmm? I'm just speculating and throwing that out there. In the meantime, we can enjoy these hotties.
The Curse
The Showtime show had a lot of build-up, but it feels like people have already forgotten about it...despite the fact that it is still airing. Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder play a couple that do home renovations. He did some renovations on himself with a prosthetic penis.
Harrison Ford in 1923
Harrison Ford likely had to be buttered up to do television, so it is a big shame that the action star isn't getting more love from award shows. His other show, Shrinking, got more love but it's hard to deny Ford isn't giving 1923 his all.
The Iron Claw
This one hurts me! The Iron Claw which stars total hotties Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson beefed themselves up with workouts to play sexy brothers who wrestle. We haven't seen the movie yet, but I am still grappling with the fact that none of these super sexy dudes are getting praise for their hard work in the film. I'll wrestle with that one for a while.
Nicholas Braun in Succession
This one really shocked me! Everyone loves Cousin Greg - and everyone loves Nicholas Braun. The final season was absolutely stellar and it was filled with stunning performances. It makes me sad that Braun didn't make the cut.
Reservation Dogs
Another critically acclaimed TV series that came to an end this year is being totally forgotten about by The Golden Globes. The young actors on the show went from nobodies to critically acclaimed actors. Don't they deserve a little praise? I especially think Dallas Goldtooth deserves a great career after playing the Spirit on the series. Just look at that ass.
Adam Driver
He hosted SNL just this past week, but that couldn't put him in the minds of the Golden Globes because his performance in Ferrari is being ignored. Is Driver getting a snub? Considering the surprising buzz he was getting as a contender for Best Actor, it surprised me again that he was snubbed.
