It ain't easy being a teenager these days. It's even harder being a teenager growing up in rural Oklahoma, but even harder than that is being one growing up on a Native American reservation, so what do these four teens do with their time? Well of course they play wannabe gangsters and tough guys, committing some of the lamest crimes you can think of!  Stripping copper wiring out of abandoned trailer parks, stealing an old lady's edibles to help her arthritis, hi-jacking a bunch of off-brand bags of chips off of a truck, you know... Anything to help pass the time!  It's not like they have to be anywhere while they dream of a bigger and better life than living on the Rez as Reservation Dogs.  This comedy series produced by Taika Waititi and Native American filmmaker Sterlin Harjo drops you right into modern day eastern Oklahoma to follow the lives of these ne'er do wells, but it also gives you a look at the humor through their eyes. The crew's leader, Bear (D'Pharoah Woon-A-Tai), begins to have visions of an ancestor who died at Little Big Horn, but not because Custer killed him, his horse tripped and crushed him.  Elora (Devery Jacobs) takes too many edibles with Willie Jack (Paulina Alexis), and Cheese (Lane Factor) has to take care of his grandma, so his life of crime needs to wait until he can take her to the doctor.  Turns out romanticizing about the gangster life is kind of the same as romanticizing about the warrior life they hear so much about from the stories they hear from elders!  Maybe Uncle Brownie (Gary Farmer) can be the stable elder in their life, nah, he's smoking too much weed and waking up naked in a field.  Life ain't easy for a Rez Dog.
