The Equalizer (2014)

When it comes to making a profit, few action thrillers equal The Equalizer (2014). Usually big movies inspire spin-off television series. Yet in this case, the flick is actually based on the small screen hit The Equalizer (1985-1989). As such, the TV show’s stars Robert Wahlberg and Timothy John Smith have cameos in this pic. Set in Boston, the plot kicks in when former Marine and retired DIA/DCS officer Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) befriends Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), a young prostitute entangled in the Russian mafia. Even though Robert no longer seeks drama in his life, he decides to help Teri escape the Russian mobsters. Mind you, we don’t want to escape from Vladimir Pushkin (Vladimir Kulich) after seeing his inked abs getting doused in the shower. Alas, Mr. Washington rudely cuts short the scene when his character turns off the lights. Come on Denzel, be a sport and jump in! Too bad, he doesn’t want to equalize the situation. Under the direction of Antoine Fuqua, this R rated movie also includes Bill Pullman, David Harbour, Haley Bennett, Melissa Leo, Roger Mitchell, and the skin on Martin Csokas. As Teddy, the bare babe displays his tattooed chest and back. It’s definitely not a stretch to say we enjoy watching the topless hottie stretch! Perhaps that’s why this pic spawned the cinematic sequels The Equalizer 2 (2018) and The Equalizer 3 (2023). As you can guess, Mr. Man is waiting with masturbated breath to see what flesh is flashed in The Equalizer 4!
