The Gilded Age (2022)

The Gilded Age (2022) is a new series on HBO that takes place in a precarious time in history known as The Gilded Age - hey, that's the title. Set in 1882 in 19th century New York City where a young woman named Marian Brook moves from Pennsylvania to NYC to live with her old-money wealthy aunt after the death of her father. Marian previously lived in a rural community, so the world of wealth in the growing city of New York is a totally different world. Anges van Rhijn is her aunt played by the formidable Christine Baranski with Cynthia Nixon playing her aun'ts wealthy friend, Taissa Farmiga playing another wealthy socialite, Audra McDonald playing a woman working at the house who befriends our leading lady, and Louisa Jacobson playing Marian Brook. Does this sound stuffy? Hardly! With all of these rich old women, you know that there is plenty of eye candy. Blake Ritson is the charming and handsome Oscar Van Rhijn who has a penchant for kissing other men. That is awesome for us to watch! We are truly in horny awe when we watch Claybourne Elder play John Adams who has the pleasure and honor of being in bed with Blake. The two men make out and begin tearing off each other's stuffy evening wear in order to lay with each other in their sexy bed-chamber. Unfortunately, we don't get to see their steamy 19th-century sex, so that part is left to the imagination. Or for another episode?
