The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears (2013)

Some movies have strange titles and none are stranger than Strange Bargain (1949); Strange Affection (1957); Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964); The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh (1971); The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne (1981); Strange Days (1995); and The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears (2013). Written and directed jointly by Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani, the latter film follows a dude named Dan Kristensen (Klaus Tange) who returns home from a business trip to discover his wife Edwige (Ursula Bedena) has disappeared. With no signs of forced entry and with no help from the police inspector (Jean-Michel Vovk), Mr. Kristensen must scourer the confines of his apartment complex to find his missing spouse, even if it means exploring a creepy crawlspace. As he goes down a hypnotic rabbit hole, the baffled businessman interacts with his bizarre neighbors. The trippy flick provides a lot of suspense, along with full frontal nudity! Yes, Mr. Tange struts his stuff in the buff 45 minutes into the movie. While walking around his flat, he shows off his bare back, ass, sack and shaft! This is the kind of neighbor we’d love to borrow sugar from. Also known as L’étrange couleur des larmes de ton corps, this skinternational flick features dialogue in Danish, Flemish and French. But when Klaus drops his drawers, there’s no need for subtitles. In other words, watch The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears with a box of tissues!
