Toad Road (2013)

Adopting the canon of documentary-style filmmaking to a horror genre, like so many films before it, Toad Road (2013) takes viewers on a back road journey into the heart of horror and debauchery in a rural town. The impactful indie stars James Davidson as James, a drug dealer who seeks to leave that world behind by offing his dealing buds. This happens around the same time that James falls for Sara (Sara Anne Jones), and penetrable to her charm, acquiesces to take her to a secret spot in the forest that’s supposedly the Seven Gates of Hell. Motives are questioned, but we would never question the motive behind showing Davidson’s butt, balls, and penis while he’s dragged across the floor!
