Touki Boukie (1973) is the Wolof language title of this iconic 70s African drama which translates from the Senegalese language roughly to "Journey of the Hyena" in English. Writer and director Djibril Diop Mambety gave the world this story about a cow herder named Mory and a university student named Anta who are a young couple that wants to leave everything behind. They met in Dakar, Senegal's capital city, and long to leave it. They try to get their money together with the dream of leaving everything they know in their home in Senegal and making a new life for themselves in Paris. Mory winds up stealing from a rich gay man that solicited his services which allows him and his partner Anta to have enough money to book a spot for them on a ship to France. Will they actually do it? Magaye Niang plays Mory and it's not hard to see why a rich gay man might pick him up for ticks: Magaye is HOT and putting out some serious vibes when he goes shirtless while wearing some bulge-baring tight pants. Just look at that lean and mean body of his in his numerous shirtless scenes which have us drooling. Whether he is in a bathing suit packing heat on the beach or simply wearing some very 1970s trousers without a shirt on, Magaye is having us feeling...well...gay! The Journey of the Hyena has us feeling hungry like a wolf over this hot young African man. Forget Paris. We'll always have Senegal.
