Looking for a ’70s-set satire on the Women’s Liberation Movement? Then look to Andy Warhol’s Women in Revolt (1971), not to be confused with the skinternational miniseries Women At War (2022). Under the pen and direction of Paul Morrissey, this X rated flick features the trans-stars of Warhol’s Factory: Jackie Curtis, Candy Darling and Holly Woodlawn. Jackie portrays an intellectual, Candy plays an heiress, and Holly is cast as a nymphomaniac who ironically despises men. The three join a feminist group called Politically Involved Girls (or P.I.G., just in case you missed that), but ultimately their membership doesn’t result in much fulfillment. Of course, you may get your fill (and thrills) while watching the pervformers get down and dirty throughout the movie. Just three minutes into the black comedy, Marty (Martin Kove) wakes up naked on the couch — showing off his abs, ass, sack and shaft. If that’s not revealing enough, Duncan (Duncan MacKenize) serves up his PBJ (pecs, butt and junk) while painting Jackie’s toenails at the 14-minute mark. Not to be outdone, Johnny Minute (Johnny Kemper) adds to the fun when he flashes his flesh while Jackie gives him a blow job. During the oral act, we get to see Mr. Kemper’s bare back and butthole. Now, that’s what we call being an overexposed actor! The movie also includes Frank Cavestani, George Abagnalo, Jonathan Kramer, Maurice Braddell, Michael Sklar, and Paul Kilb. As you can see, the men in Women in Revolt will cause an uprise in your pants!
