Tropical Heat (1993)

The crime thriller Tropical Heat (1993) sure lives up to its titular temperature promise. When Beverly’s (Maryam d’Abo) husband is stomped to death by an elephant in India, she hires Gravis (Rick Rossovich), an insurance investigator, to clear up some international paperwork so she can get some seven-figure life insurance cash. Things get complicated when Kamla (Asha Siewkumar), the daughter of the trainer of the accused elephant, shows up insisting that Bev’s husband was actually murdered. How does Kamla can be so sure of her murderous claim? Well, it seems that she too lost her husband under in a nefarious manner, and she has suspicions that just won’t go away. Nobody thinks to question the elephant, but when Gravis stops pushing papers and starts asking questions, he soon gets to the bottom of this murder mystery. Thankfully, Gravis believes in mixing business with pleasure, which provides us with multiple butt-baring scenes from Rick Rossovich as he looks for clues in a swimming pool, the rapids, and in a bedroom with his gal pal at his side. Mr. Man would like to investigate Rossovich a little more closely!
