In an amazingly A-list filmmaker team-up, in 1993 Tony Scott directed the Quentin Tarantino helmed screenplay for the quirky action flick True Romance (1993). Violence, long diatribes about pop culture and fan theories, and white characters dropping N-bombs: all the Tarantino hallmarks are present in the story of Clarence Worley (Christian Slater), an Elvis Presley obsessed Kung Fu film fan who falls hard for a hooker named Alabama (Patricia Arquette) he didn't realize was hired by his boss at the movie theatre to boost the kid's confidence. Roll tide! The problem is, Alabama has a nasty pimp (Gary Oldman), so Clarence kills him and takes all of his cocaine. While the cops think it was a gang killing, mob boss Vincenzo Coccotti (Christopher Walken) knows the truth and is not happy he won't be getting those five million dollars' worth of cocaine money back. Looking to sell the booger sugar and head for the hills, the couple tries to hide in Hollywood while the mob tries to track them down. When the Bonne and Clyde couple have to kill a few more people, it's not long before the mafia, the cops, and all sorts of other dangerous people are hot on their trail. Since Tarantino wrote it, of course there will be a giant shootout in the end. But the truth is, the true best scene in the film is the one where the captivating Christian Slater gets naked for a super sensual sex scene with the perfect Patricia Arquette. Bathed in blue light, these luscious lovers share a passionate bang sesh. We get a great look at the shirtless Christian as well as an eyeful of that tight tush! Nineties nudity really was the best! True Romance is a romantic flick for your dick!
