A Leap in the Dark (1980)

A Leap In The Dark is an audacious Italian flick that isn't afraid to go there in exploring one man's infatuation with his sister. Where do we even start with this one? Mauro Ponticelli (Michel Piccoli) is tired of dealing with his needy and mentally disturbed sister Marta (Anouk Aimée). He takes matters into his own hands in a way that we can't personally recommend - Mauro hires an actor to entrust himself to Marta before convincing her to take her own life. Brothers, can't live with them, because they want you to kill yourself? Everything backfires when the actor, Giovanni (Michele Placido), and Marta hit it off. Mauro becomes jealous of their relationship and realizes that he's actually in love with his sister.
